“Who Are You to Judge?” - 5pm The River Service

This sermon teaches that judgmentalism grows out of self-righteousness, causing us to magnify the faults of others while remaining blind to our own weakness, pride, and need for grace. Drawing from Romans 14, it explains that the gospel destroys that pride by reminding us that our standing before God rests entirely on Christ’s finished work—not our morality, theology, religious performance, or ability to be right—and therefore produces genuine humility toward those with whom we disagree. Ultimately, recognizing that we are all weak people who need the same Savior frees us to disagree honestly without condemning one another, to speak truth with humility and love, and to entrust our brothers and sisters to Jesus while continuing to move toward them in relationship.
