Asked which commandment is greatest, Jesus answers in Matthew 22 with love for God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, and love for neighbor as ourselves. Rather than being consumed by political division and religious argument, believers are called to look beneath surface disputes to their deepest loves. The decisive question is not merely what comes first in our lives, but who sits on the throne of our hearts.
